On the other hand, poverty is the main cause and an outcome of HIV/AIDS via sex trade, migration, and other behavioral issues. As a matter of fact, Poverty reduce individuals’ capacity and willingness to avoid risky behavior, and lead people to engage in high-risk activities to generate income.

It is crucial to alleviate poverty to slow the transmission of the HIV virus. Because HIV infection and poverty are in correlation, African Aid Organization believes that there is a need to implement a multi-sectoral approach with various capacity-building programs to fight against the pandemic.
