Capacity Building for HIV/AIDS Prevention

AFAID believe the success and quality of its HIV/AIDS prevention programs depend upon investments to build the technical and organizational capacities of its workforce and young people affected by HIV/AIDS. That is why AFAID is working to increase the knowledge, skills, technology, and infrastructure needed to implement and sustain science-based, culturally appropriate HIV prevention interventions, and strategies.

In the face of the materials, AFAID provides to people to prevent HIV, cultural and socio-economic barriers continue to be an obstacle to reverse the trend of the pandemic. As a response, has AFAID prioritized capacity-building activities through technical assistance to improve the health outcomes for people living with HIV. In addition, AFAID has worked with women, girls, and people with disabilities to implement a mainstream HIV/AIDS peer counselling training program and to build their capacity to protect themselves against the virus.
